A Totem for Hull featured in case studies

A Totem for Hull, our project with disabled artist Jason Wilsher-Mills and the University of Hull, has been featured in two case studies. In the project, Jason worked from January to July 2019 to develop a new, digitally-interactive sculpture representing disability for permanent display outside the Brynmor Jones Library on the University campus. Jason worked with dozens of other disabled people in Hull in a series of workshops to input into his final design. The sculpture was unveiled by League of Gentlemen star Reece Shearsmith on 19th July and was featured as part of the Yorkshire Sculpture International 2019 festival.

The project was featured in a case study about public engagement and sculptural projects by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education, which you can read here. It was also featured as a case study about collaboration between universities and arts organisations by Culture Forum North, which you can read here.
