Working with Artlink Hull, for City of Culture 2017, Arco has created a Hard Hat Challenge that calls on the city to produce truly individual pieces of artwork on safety helmets. The challenge culminates in an exhibition at the city’s iconic St. Stephen’s Shopping Centre and a charity auction at Kardomah 94 to raise funds for Children’s University.
Participants are offered the option to create an actual hardhat, or utilise the online template to create a digital or 2D paper version. To celebrate the unique designs and individuality these helmets will portray, a charity auction of the helmets will be held at Kardomah 94 on the 10th October to help raise funds for Hull Children’s University.
Hull Children’s University is a local children’s charity that has been running for 21 years. Their aim is to raise the aspirations of young people in Hull by building their confidence with their unique learning experiences.
