Along with Creativity Explored and Hull Libraries, Artlink Hull is pleased to present a fortnight of programming to celebrate women. The events we have planned span from International Women’s Day to Mothering Sunday (08-21 March). We are interested in discussing what it means to be a woman – a complex and multifaceted subject (and role).
To give us a jumping off point for discussion, we asked Hull Libraries to help us to curate a special collection of books on various topics that are relevant to womanhood. These books form a framework of categories around which our events are scheduled. We invite you to come and join in the workshops, talks, and social events, and we hope that you will also enjoy perusing our pop-up library!
This celebration Event was organised by:
Artlink Hull works with communities to increase diversity in the arts.
Creativity Explored is a group of creative women who meet on Wednesdays from 12PM – 2PM at Artlink. The sessions are open to all. They have worked hard to create the craft-based sessions that make up much of the programme.
Hull Libraries provides the city with a wide range of materials to loan, as well as a range of events and activities. They have helped us to curate a pop-up library of books for this event, as well as running a session for children. // @hull_libraries
