Recently, Hull-based artists, Jessie Davies and Adam Wilson, led the ‘Underlined’ project that culminated in an exhibition at Hull Central Library. Underlined was concerned with the idea of cultural exclusion and asked, why do so many people feel that they cannot be creative?
The project involved Jessie and Adam considering how they’d use their artistic skills in a way that would be accessible to a wide range of people. They then organised and delivered a series of workshops with adults to encourage participants to explore their own creativity. These sessions took place at The Dementia Cafe. The outcome from these sessions, as well as work created by Jessie and Adam inspired by the project, were brought together in the exhibition, with support from Artlink Hull.
