Creative Connections

Creative Connections began as a new, year long programme where three artists would collaborate on a regular basis with participants from three of Hull’s leading disability charities to develop creative social groups.

The charities, Danny’s Dream, Victoria House and Sight Support , partnered with artists Gail Hurst, Jon Keen and Sarah Johnson respectively.

The programme began in March 2019. The groups in each centre worked to develop their own projects across the year with their artist. All three groups collaborated to produce a joint exhibition at Artlink running from December 2019 to March 2020. The project has been evaluated by Dr Jade French.

Creative Connections has been made possible by a grant from Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. As well as match funding from Arts Council England.
