    DIRECTOR + CEO

    Philip has recently joined the team having previously worked in commerce, community organisations and churches. He has ten years’ experience as CEO in a major regeneration programme and in a Hospice. He enjoys independent cinema, music, dance and writing.

    Philip says, “The Artlink team delivers a really exciting programme to engage people of all backgrounds in creative arts, both at 87 Gallery and in community venues around Hull and beyond. I look forward to leading the team and meeting people across the city.”

    GENERAL MANAGER

    Bex is an experienced people & project manager responsible for the daily operation of Artlink.

    Beyond her management skills, Bex brings a love for art and a passion for connecting people. When she's not at Artlink, Bex likes to watch zombie films and practice yoga - though not at the same time.

  • Matt Fratson

    ENGAGEMENT PRODUCER

    Matt works to design and implement new ways of supporting the diverse communities we work with. His key responsibility is to shape 87 Gallery's learning programme, managing Streams, TIMES, and leading our in-house Explorers groups for children and young people. Alongside these responsibilities, he produces films documenting the production of each exhibition.

    Matt is a qualified teacher, and graduated with from University of the Arts, London with a distinction in MA: Fine Art Digital in 2020. He explores relationships between memory, earth sciences and digital cultures within his practice.

  • Becky Gee

    CURATOR

    Becky is responsible for developing the exhibitions programme at 87 Gallery. She works closely with artists on commissions, exhibitions and other professional development opportunities. Becky is an advocate for Hull and its art scene and hopes that the work of 87 Gallery will help to nurture a healthy arts ecology in the city.  

    Alongside her role at Artlink Hull, Becky is also Curator of Art at York Art Gallery, where she enjoys researching 20th century women artists who have been ignored by canonical art history. She is also interested in the history of modern and contemporary public sculpture.
