Gallery opening hours
Thursday 10am - 4.30pm
Friday 10am - 4.30pm
Saturday 10am - 4.30pm
We are a safe and inclusive space. Feel free to come wander and view our exhibitions. We have drawing materials and resources in our upstairs studio for young people to enjoy. We are dedicated to making our spaces accessible to everyone.
If you feel shy or anxious, please take your time. If you would like help or support, please ask. All of our staff are welcoming and non-judgemental. Feel free to ask us any questions; no questions are silly.
If you’re not quite sure what to do, just have a wander around, upstairs and downstairs, and know that your presence is welcomed. You can even call beforehand if you have any worries about your visit.
Around the gallery you will find surveys where we ask for your feedback about your visit. Please feel free to complete one of these and leave them at the front desk.
To offer a safe environment for those who are continuing to wear face coverings, we have daily masked hours and will be monitoring the number of people in the building. We are advising all visitors to wear a face covering between 3pm – 4:30pm.
You are welcome to breastfeed here, just let a member of staff know if there is anything we can do to help make you more comfortable.
We run events throughout the year which will be assessed separately on a case-by-case basis so please check our social channels and website for access requirements for an event you might attend. We strive to continue to adapt and learn from our partners, peers and the public to improve accessibility.
If you have any access requirements, questions or suggestions that may help in our effort please contact info@artlinkhull.co.uk. We would appreciate any feedback you have.
Our First-Floor & Lift Access
Our ground-floor gallery space, workshop rooms, and facilities are fully accessible. We also have a passenger lift to our first-floor spaces. However, please be aware of our current emergency evacuation policy:
In the event of an emergency
Our lift is programmed to automatically shut down for safety, meaning the stairs become our evacuation route.
First-Floor Safety Policy
To ensure everyone can exit the building safely in an emergency evacuation, we currently require that visitors accessing our first floor are able to either navigate the stairs, independently or with assistance, or independently transfer into our on-site evacuation chair.
How We Can Support Your Visit
If accessing the first floor under these safety guidelines isn't possible for you, please know we are entirely committed to making sure you don't miss out on our exhibitions and events. We are incredibly happy to make the following adjustments for you:
Ground-Floor Screenings
We can easily set up and show any upstairs film works, artist videos, or digital exhibition materials on our fully accessible ground-floor screen.
Relocating Activities
If you are attending a meeting, workshop, or event scheduled for the first floor, please let us know in advance. We will happily relocate the entire session to our ground floor.
A Warm Welcome
Our team is always on hand to grab resources, bring down exhibition guides, or simply sit and chat through the work with you.
