CREATIVE DIRECTOR & CEO

Lindsey, a passionate advocate for community arts and inclusivity.

Lindsey joins us following an impressive career in the arts, having worked as a theatre producer for a London-based touring company and Liverpool Everyman Playhouse, was part of the City of Culture Team before joining Middle Child as Executive Director and Joint CEO.

Most recently Lindsey was the Relationship and Development Manager at Parents and Carers in Performing Arts (PiPA).

GENERAL MANAGER

Bex is an experienced people & project manager responsible for the daily operation of Artlink Hull.

Beyond her management skills, Bex brings a love for art and a passion for connecting people. When she's not at Artlink, Bex likes to watch zombie films and practice yoga - though not at the same time.

ENGAGEMENT PRODUCER

Matt directs our learning programme. He is responsible for shaping our work with children and young people through Explorers, and artist development opportunities for critical and creative confidence-building through Streams. Alongside these responsibilities, he produces films documenting the production of each exhibition.

Matt is a qualified teacher, and an Associate Lecturer at University of the Arts, London, where he graduated in 2020 with a distinction in MA: Fine Art Digital. He explores relationships between memory, earth sciences and digital cultures within his practice.

CURATOR

Becky is responsible for developing the exhibitions programme at 87 Gallery. She works closely with artists on commissions, exhibitions and other professional development opportunities. Becky is an advocate for Hull and its art scene and hopes that the work of 87 Gallery will help to nurture a healthy arts ecology in the city.  

Alongside her role at Artlink Hull, Becky is also a PhD researcher at MIMA (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art), Teesside Archives and Teesside University. Her research is on the artist commission in response to public art collections, with a focus on the Middlesbrough Collection at MIMA.

PROJECT PRODUCER

Amber oversees our Creative Connections programme, working closely with key partners and artistic facilitators across the city to bring art workshops to people from under represented backgrounds who face barriers into accessing the arts. 

Amber's background has been in theatre and literature, completing an MA in English and Creative Writing in 2023. She specialises in the interdisciplinary approaches between artistic mediums. Her background is coupled with a passion to make the arts accessible for everyone across the city and beyond.

GALLERY ASSISTANT

Emily joined us as an apprentice through Generation Hull’s ‘Fight for Our Creative Futures’ programme after finishing her education at Ron Dearing UTC in which she studied Photography, 3D Design, and Graphics.   

‘Reflecting on this journey, I see a story of growth, both professional and personal. I arrived a nervous but keen apprentice; unsure of my place, and now in the 10 months I have been here, I have confidence, skills, and a deep appreciation for the creative sector. The gallery is no longer just a building I work in – it is a part of my own story, and I am proud to be part of its story too.’
