Join us on Saturday 11 April at Artlink Hull | 87 Gallery from 1-3pm for a unique opportunity to create porcelain sculptures with Maria Donnai.
Spend an afternoon exploring the Deep Unknowns exhibition and creating your own work in response.
The session begins with an informal tour of the show with the artist, Maria. We’ll talk through the ideas behind the work before heading up to the studio to experiment. Under Maria’s guidance, you’ll develop a sculptural piece using porcelain.
After the workshop, we will fire your work in the kiln and let you know when it’s ready to be collected from the gallery.
The workshop is open to anyone 18+ (no previous experience with porcelain needed).
All materials, kiln firing, and refreshments included.
The workshop capacity is limited.
Optional: Live Deinstall
Following the workshop (3:30pm – 5:00pm), Maria is hosting a live deinstallation of the exhibition. You are welcome to stay and browse the work as it comes down. Pieces will be available for purchase to support Maria’s future projects:
Suspended pieces: £10 – £25
Wall-mounted sculptures: £100 – £150
